Last weekend, our year round students performed an in-studio showing of the work they have been developing over the fall semester, including excerpts of new material by Alex Ketley and Christian Burns, choreography by Robert Moses (set by the brilliant Tristan Ching), and a duet created by Joy Prendergast, an SFCD alumna.
We also got to share the work of our youngest students. Kaitlin Parks, who teaches our Children’s Classes, led her charges through a wonderful series of little dances that showed off both their studies and energy.
Our year-round program is taking a brief break. The new semester starts on January 3rd. In the meantime, you can still join us for some exciting open classes. Malinda LaVelle will be teaching her last Jam Class of the year tomorrow, Saturday 12/22, at 11 AM. In the new year, Malinda will be launching a program of Jam Classes for the blind and visually impaired in partnership with SFCD and LightHouse for the Blind. Hallie Dalsimer will be teaching an open Gaga/People class on Sunday 12/23 at 12:00 noon. As always, you can find information about our open classes HERE.
